So today, still running woefully behind schedule, I went to a spring tea at the Turnverein to listen to _thedentist sing all the songs he's learned in his German class. Honestly, the things I will do for my friends...

Ever since _thedentist started the class after Christmas, he's been telling me about Renata, who's competing with him for the position of teacher's pet or top student or whatever you want to call it. He'd built her up to be this conniving, manipulative person, so of course, I was kind of curious to see for myself. I got there and asked, "So, which one's Renata?" and he pointed at a girl who can't have been more than ten years old *cue dropping of jaw* I think I squeaked, right before yelling sotto voce, "You're competing with a ten-year-old?????" It felt like being transported back to grade school.

In completely unrelated news, the authors of the remix have been revealed, so I can no link to mine, which is No End Without a Beginning (The Nile Is Not Only a River in Egypt Remix). I'm quite surprised that most people weren't able to guess it since it's chockful of some of my favorite fic kinks... anyone who liked my Alex stories will probably get a kick out of this one too :) The original by i_naiad, can be found here (Part 1) and here (Part 2), and I highly recommend it. I am extremely fortunate to have had authors whose stories I adore assigned to me two years in a row.
