The World According to Gio

Three weeks into the epic clusterfuck at work and I have decided to develop a sense of humor about it. Not much else to do really. So every report of a hitherto unknown error by an irrate employee is now met with a cheery, "Congratulations! You have discovered an entirely new error! Now send me a screenshot so I can pass it on to the powers that be." The parties who are responsible for the epic clusterfuck in the first place are now responding to the obligatory "how are you?" in my daily phone call to report new problems with a stressed, "Don't even ask." And I don't care anymore, really. Instead I'm training users like crazy on the contingency tool. By close of business tomorrow, I should have another 50 done. And then! Only another 200 or so to go! Yay?

In more pleasant news, I timed my finishing of S7 of Stargate SGI precisely to coincide with the release of S4 of QaF on DVD. The night after I watched the Stargate S7 finale, little red envelopes from Netflix delivered the first two discs of QaF, and I'm rather enjoying it so far. I like Cody. He's a complete headcase, but so far (and I'm only up to episode 4), he's an interesting kind of headcase. Reminds me a little of one or two Michaels I dated long ago, which probably more than explains the no-dating-Michaels-or-Michelles rule I have. Hmmmm. I wonder what I should start watching after I'm done with QaF. Oz, maybe? I hear good things about that.
