Introductions of CGB and parents went off without a hitch. They like him :) 11-year-old cousin is a major pain in the ass--all he wants to do is sit in the hotel.
giosdad blames the parents, since they failed to adequately train the kid. He says if they'd been sensible as he and
giosmum were and had trained him from the tender age of six weeks to partake of international travel (as they did with us), it wouldn't be so much of a problem now. They're touring FC Chelsea right now, and after that, CGB has volunteered us to "babysit" for the afternoon, so the 'rents can do and do something by themselves (mum wants to go to a museum). We'll take him to Camden late this afternoon and then meet them for dinner at Cafe Corfu. Tomorrow evening, mum texted me, we and Dad should go an see a show (I'm rooting for Avenue Q) and she'll watch the hellspawn. Oh boy. I mean, not that I was the best 11-year-old in the world, but by that age I'd been across multiple continents, knew how to travel like a pro, and had walked all over a bunch of major cities--it was only museums I wasn't yet quite good at (apparently, I only "allowed" mum half an hour at the Art Institute of Chicago, though I did manage most of the Smithsonian *g*)
Anyway, for those following the show, we're unlikely to be able to meet people before Thursday afternoon, when the parents avec cousin leave again. Will let everyone know once plans firm up a bit.
